Slingshot bands and tubes are literally the engine that drives the car. If you don't have enough horsepower, the car is underpowered and sluggish. Too much horsepower and something is going to break quickly.
Think about band thickness as the raw horsepower and stretch ratio and taper as the torque portion of the power? That is actually a good analogy. The goal is to balance all of the variables together to create a powerful yet efficient band set.
If you make your own bands, it's a good idea to experiment just like the person who reloads their own rifle ammunition. They try out different powder, primers, powder measurements, seating depths, and more. The goal is to have balanced bands that throw the projectile downrange with the right amount of power to be effective and accurate.
Just like hot-rodded rifle ammo that screams downrange. but burns out the barrel within a few hundred rounds. A band set that is over-powered for the ammunition you use will fail relatively quickly. Balance your bands with your ammo, taper, and draw length. You get a band set that will last much longer and you will get the most energy downrange.

You Can Order Bands To Your Specifications
Are you 100% sure you know that you are shooting the correct bands for your draw length? What about for your specific ammo choice? Do you shoot clay, marbles, steel, lead? Would you like to have a set of bands that have been specifically made for you based on a whole series of measurements and questions related to you? Would you like to know that the bands were made for your draw length, preferred taper, ammo size and type, purpose (target, plinking, hunting), and even percentage of maximum stretch you would like?

This custom fitting process takes a little bit longer since your bands are made to order, but you will get the right fit. Your ammo, bands, and draw length will all be properly calibrated. This extra time and effort will pay off for you. These will be custom made for you, band sets are only made after you place an order. We will require up to one week from the time we get your order to the time your bands are sent out. We will do our best NOT to take this long, but we do not want to set an expectation that cannot be upheld. Custom bands come in packs of three sets.
